Project Description

Innovation Consulting, UX/UI

Sparking innovation together with one of the biggest unions in Denmark

In early 2017, Cromian was contacted by HK to consult on how to creating the most agile structures for their future innovation hub. In Spring 2018, together with HK, Cromian initialized the first innovation process in the newly opened “HK Lab”.

HK Lab was created by HK in the Fall of 2017 with the focus on investigating and testing how to become more digitally present for their members.

The innovation process consisted of a UX investigation and analyses of potential young members needs in searching for their first job, doing their first salary negotiation and balance their expectations to future work environment. The process was finalized in a study that clarified what the union could do in the three areas in order to better attract and retain future young members.

Our work consisted of:

  • Market research and analysis of existing offers/products within the market space
  • Empirical investigation into current HK members needs and expectations
  • UX field research and analysis into future users needs and expectations – including interviews with members and analysis of current member-relevant processes
  • Facilitating workshop to brainstorm and design new solutions in collaboration with HK/HK Lab employees
  • Scoping and concepting five possible solutions
  • Consulting on best practice within innovation lab structures
